“We answered the call tonight,” said NM State coach Marvin Menzies. “I challenged our guys to really get after it, play hard on the boards and execute offensively. And they did a good job of that.”

“We’ve got to have those guys produce,” Menzies said of the seniors. “We have a bunch of freshmen behind them so the end of the day they have to carry the torch.”
Redshirt freshman Pascal Siakam came off the bench with 19 points, six rebounds and five blocked shots. Siakam has eight blocks through the first three games for the Aggies.
Northern Colorado was paced by Tim Huskisson who went 6-of-8 from the floor in scoring 16 points, with Cameron Michael adding 13. Dominique Lee double-doubled with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
After three games in six days to start the season, NM State gets a quick breather before starting the Battle of I-10 at UTEP on Saturday night at the Don Haskins Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
