The early morning game was part of ESPN's Tip-off Marathon that included the likes of Colorado State @ Gonzaga (15), NMSU faces both later in the season. Also in the Marathon is Kansas (5) @ Duke (4) and Michigan State (2) @ Kentucky (1). For those of you who missed the late night game, you can see the replay on ESPN 3. HONOLULU – Junior guard K.C. Ross-Miller hit 10-straight free throws in the last :37 seconds of the game and junior forward Remi Barry scored a career-high 18 points to give the New Mexico State men’s basketball team the boost it needed to defeat Hawai’i 95-88 in the final game of the Outrigger Hotels and Resort Rainbow Classic, Tuesday, Nov. 12 in the Stan Sheriff Center. LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State punter Cayle Chapman-Brown has been named FBS Independent Special Teams Players of the Week, for games played through Saturday, Nov. 9. This is Chapman-Brown’s first-time honorees. A senior from Sydney, Australia, Chapman-Brown punted seven times for a 51.9-yard average, with a long kick of 58 yards, in New Mexico State’s 48-34 home loss to Boston College. Four of Chapman-Brown’s punts were downed inside the BC 20-yard line, with three of his kicks pinning the Eagles inside their 15-yard line. The FBS Independent Players of the Week are selected by members of a nationwide media panel, which includes equal representation from each of the independent institutions’ coverage markets. On Crimson to the Core Forums this year we are doing a weekly pick em game for Mens Basketball. Below is a free trial to this weeks games. It will be scored the same way as any other Pick Em. The games played on Crimson to the Core drop everyone's 2 lowest scores at the end of the season, so there is still time to sign up and play. Courtesy of New Mexico State University LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- New Mexico State’s Audrey Ruiz has been named the Western Athletic Conference Women's Diver of the Week for the week of October 28-November 3. Ruiz, a sophomore from Lubbock, Texas (Coronado HS), swept both diving events in a 170-128 dual meet victory over Northern Colorado on Saturday. Ruiz won the 3-meter board with a career-high score of 253.87. She won the 1-meter with a score of 264.37. Both scores are the fifth best in the WAC this season. New Mexico State University will officially “unretire” football number 27, formerly worn by Aggie great Pervis Atkins, during a Nov. 9 ceremony at Aggie Memorial Stadium during the game against Boston College. A jersey bearing the number will then be presented to NMSU President Garrey Carruthers, the university’s 27th president.

The brother's Bhullar are making the WAC proud by cracking the MM15. The Aggies are heavily favored in the WAC and are one of the rare teams playing two games over opening weekend. First they'll get challenged by Western Michigan of the MAC and then Tennessee State will come in the next night to try to knock the Aggies out of our poll.
