“Akuadasou is progressing very well learning a brand new event not included in the high school program here in New Mexico,” assistant coach Larry Carmichael said. “We are excited about her future as a thrower here at NM State.”
Ezenyilimba, a freshman out of La Cueva High School in Albuquerque, N.M., had her best distance in the hammer throw at the UTEP Invitational (4/12) in El Paso, Texas. At the meet, she posted a distance of 48.36m (158-8).
This is not the first time that she finds herself on this list as she also held the fifth-place spot in the under-20 list for the 20-pound weight throw during the 2014 indoor season.
The Aggies will be in action when they travel to Albuquerque, N.M., to compete at the Don Kirby Invitational on May 2.
