“Giving back to the Las Cruces community and our beautiful university is extremely important to our program,” head coach Doug Martin said. “Helping Bud Jones and his staff at OFS plant the trees on the east side of the stadium is just another way we can help make our university a place that fans and students can enjoy and be proud of. We are always happy to help and thankful for the opportunity to do so.”
“Traditionally, NMSU plants around a dozen tree on campus around Arbor Day,” Bud Jones, Manager of Landscaping and Grounds at NMSU. “This year we are extremely happy to have a joint effort with the grounds department and the Aggie Football team to enhance the east side of the stadium. Hopefully with the success of this project we can join with other groups around campus in the future.”
The Aggies are in the middle of spring practice and will be back on the field for practice No. 3 on Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m.
