In doubles’ play, NM State had two teams make the championship match on Sunday. Instead of competing against each other, the Aggie duos of Goldberg/Thomas Douglas and Patrick Pfister/Strahinja Trecakov were named co-champions of the doubles’ draw.
Other singles’ play winners for NM State on Sunday were Trecakov, freshman Antonio Ramirez and senior Germain Degardin, who won the consolation final of the Crimson Flight in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1.
Degardin and sophomore Charles Baron also teamed up to win in doubles, as did Ramirez and junior Jeremy Harlas.
Up next for the Aggies is a trip north to Albuquerque to participate in the Balloon Fiesta Invitational hosted by UNM which will run from Friday, Oct. 3, through Sunday, Oct. 5.
