O’Larey is the Head Athletic Trainer and Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Health Care at NM State. He has been employed at NM State for 25 years, 21 of which as the Head Athletic Trainer. At NMSU, O’Larey oversees all aspects of athletic training services for 17 National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division I intercollegiate sporting teams.
O’Larey has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) since 1977 and licensed as an athletic trainer in New Mexico since 1990. He has served in several capacities for the New Mexico Athletic Trainers Association (NMATA) and was a professional member of the New Mexico Athletic Trainers Practice Board. A Tacoma, Wash., native, O’Larey received a bachelor’s from Washington State and a master’s from Northern Arizona University.

O’Larey lives in Las Cruces with his wife Dee. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and cheering for the Seahawks.
