“Sal is such a huge Aggie football supporter that this endowment was just important for us to do. I am so happy to be able to support our home team,” Christine said.
The Wright’s feel fortunate to live in such a great community. “It is exciting to live in a city like Las Cruces that has such a great university, with so many athletic events that families can attend.” Christine said. "We've enjoyed taking our family to all the sporting events here at NM State, and I think this is just one aspect that makes Las Cruces a special place to live. We want to encourage other people to look at NM State athletics when thinking about giving back to the community. There are so many worthy charities and organizations, but we feel this is a nice way to show support to support the Football Program and the student athletes."
Sal Wright is a teacher for Las Cruces Public Schools and Christine Wright, CPA is a partner and co-owner of Beasley Mitchell & Co. LLP, an accounting and consulting firm here in Las Cruces.
Creating an endowment shows a commitment to the future of New Mexico State Athletics. The endowment is a legacy that provides a sustaining source of funds to help student-athletes inspire our communities.
