In the 400-meter dash, Patterson finished 12th, with a time of 56.97, which moves her to fourth all-time in the Aggie record books.

Patterson, Perkins, Brooks and freshman Katara Nelson ran for NM State in the 4x400-meter relay. The team finished ninth with a time of 3:50.12. The time moves the group into seventh all-time for the Aggies.
The Aggies also put two other teams to run the 4x400-meter relay. One team consisted of sophomores Cherish Morrison and Kelsi Gonzalez, senior Deserae Cota and freshman Shaniece Prevot. The final team consisted of sophomores Ashley Hall and Leah Englehart, freshman Savannah Coleman and junior Rebecca Schoeny.

“Akuadasou (Ezenyilimba) improved by about two-feet in the 20-pound weight throw,” assistant coach Larry Carmichael said. “This is an event that they don’t do in high school so it’s good to see this sort of improvement early on.”
Senior Zoe Meade took part in several different events including the shot put, where she had a distance 11.91m (39’1”). She also competed in the 200-meter dash where she finished with a time of 25.44.
“This gave us a good idea of what we need to work on, but it was good overall,” head coach Orin Richburg said. “Again, we just need to go back and work on some things, but this gave us a good indication because we were competing against some girls that will be in the national championship picture at the end of the season.”
