“NM State women's golf stresses to our athletes that it is important to be successful in the classroom and on the golf course. We believe in that the success in their studies will carry over to their success on the golf course,” said head coach Jackie Booth. “The coaches strive to recruit athletes who are serious about going to college and graduating. We are very excited about our WGCA All-American Scholar Athletes and the hard work they put in to be successful student-athletes.”
Barron is majoring in international business and Darwin is an accounting major, while both student-athletes are heading into their senior seasons. The Aggies are anxious for the beginning of the 2014 fall season, with only one graduating senior, Amelie Buhl. Winners of two of its final-three tournaments the NM State squad looks to keep its end-of-the-year momentum into the 2014-15 season and defend its Western Athletic Conference title.
