“Daniel broke a finger on his right hand in practice on Thursday,” said Menzies. “After extensive medical consultations on Friday, it was determined surgery on his finger will be required.”
“Not having Daniel is a great loss, but his leadership will remain with us on the bench,” Menzies added.
Mullings is second on the team and eighth in the WAC in scoring with 13.4 points a game, while leading NM State and ranking fourth in the WAC in rebounding with 7.4 boards a contest. He is also leading the Aggies and ranks third in the conference in steals with 2.0 per game.
An Associated Press honorable mention All-American last season, Mullings ranks ninth in NM State career scoring with 1,512 points and grabbed the Aggies all-time career steals record of 218 on Wednesday at New Mexico.
The Aggies host the second game in the Battle of I-10 tonight against UTEP at the Pan American Center at 7 p.m.
