Joiner is a sprinter and attended Southwest High School in Fort Worth, Texas. While there, she competed in the 60, 100 and 200-meter dash as well as the long jump.
“This is a great athlete we added,” head coach Orin Richburg said. “She is going to come in and add some depth to our program. Joiner is an outstanding sprinter and she is also an academic student so she is a great addition to our team.”
Her career-best in the 100-meter dash stands at 11.82. Joiner’s best time in the 200-meter dash is 24.33, and her fastest 60-meter dash sits at 7.95.
Joiner is interested in majoring in engineering when she joins NM State next season.
